Broccoli belongs to the Brassicaceae family of plants, the same as arugula, radish, cauliflower, and cabbage.
Microgreens from this family of plants are best known for their anti-cancer benefits due to their high levels of cancer-fighting nutrients like glucosinolates and sulforaphane.
They are also a wonderful source of fiber which is beneficial for a healthy digestive system.
Considering their tiny size, these super-small plants pack more nutrition than their full-grown counterparts and are some of the most nutritionally dense plants to consume. In fact, broccoli microgreens contain up to 40 times the nutrients than mature broccoli.
Broccoli Microgreens contain: Protein, Fiber, Potassium, Calcium, Phosphorous, Magnesium, Iron, Manganese, Nitrates and Zinc.
They also contain vitamins A, C and E.
Ready to spruce up your salad and get some major health benefits at the same time? Toss some pea shoots into the mix! Having a sweet and tender taste, these microgreens are high in nutrients.
Pea Microgreens contain Vitamins A, B-6, C, E, K and folate.
In addition, they are incredibly rich in carotenes, which are powerful antioxidants that help protect cells in the body from damage. Beta-carotene, which gets converted into vitamin A in the body, is an all-important phytochemical in these plants that might in and of itself help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and cardiovascular disease.
Spicy and peppery yet a hint of sweetness. These give an intense flavor to any salad or side dish.
Radish sprouts list of nutrients reads like the info panel on a bottle of multivitamins. These are some seriously powerful little greens.
Not only do they contain vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, they also deliver calcium iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc. But that’s not all. Radish sprouts are rich in essential amino acids and chlorophyll which has all sorts of benefits from cancer-fighting properties to digestive aid. These babies also contain a whole lot of fiber and roughage which we all know is important to help keep things running smooth.
As you can see, Radish Microgreens are very nutritious. In other words, as they might have said in the 1980s, radish microgreens are totally rad.
Sunflower shoots have an impressive nutrition profile. First of all, they are a complete plant protein. Sunflower shoots contain all of the essential amino acids as well as iron, potassium, magnesium, calcium, copper, and phosphorous. They are particularly high in zinc which has all manner of benefits including a boost to the immune system and digestive regularity.
As if all this weren’t enough sunflower shoots also deliver vitamins A, B complex, D, and E.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, as they say. This tried and true standard in the world of microgreens isn’t going away any time soon.
Wheatgrass has been a staple in high impact health food diets for quite some time. It’s flavor profile is heavy on the green which can be a turn off to some, but not to worry. Wheatgrass is versatile and lends itself very well to being a team player in smoothies and juices where the taste can be masked by other fruits and veggies but none of the nutrition is lost.
There are reasons, very good reasons, that wheatgrass has been one of the reigning champs of microgreens for so long. Wheatgrass is rich in vitamins A, B complex, C, and E. This green machine also contains iron, zinc, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, and selenium.
Selenium is a powerful antioxidant and may have some cancer fighting abilities. Studies have shown that its antioxidant content may prevent oxidative stress and cell damage.
It also aids in good thyroid function, improves blood flow, helps lower risk of heart disease, and it may even be linked to good respiratory function. Did I mention it’s also an immune-booster? What’s not to love?
It's not just for humans but is great for pets as well.
For cats, it is a fantastic source of natural fiber that helps promote healthy digestion and fewer hairballs. Cats love grass but, other animals love it as well. Try this for your dog, rabbit or reptile. Even birds are attracted to this nutrient rich grass.

Your Microgreens have a food safe dry pack or a paper towel to help keep away excess moisture (feel free to change these with a paper towel if you feel it is needed). This keeps them fresher longer! Keep refrigerated. Our microgreens are fresh for 7 to 10 days and at times longer.
Always wash your microgreens prior to use as they are from soil to container. They may contain seed husks and washing will remove these. They are ok to consume except for beet and swiss chard as their seed husk are hard.
